I read quiet a lot about us history. But our viewpoints are different on it.

Also, your political system enables this asshole. He uses your own legislative and political system against you.

You have to make sure to fix this ASAP. I know own it is hard, I know in your the winner takes it all system, and how changes to the constitutions are done that this is hard. Very hard. But what are your options? Give up?

Assume Trump dies on a overdose of lead next week, the next asshole can use the same system to try again.

Just start now to give out an idea to anybody that reaches voting age. Don't bother about the older ones.

Not to long ago we killed millions and wanted world domination. We changed our laws so this does not happen again Because law can be changed

So? The idea itself is not inherently bad. If I want to vote in Germany I go to the local polling station, show my ID (proof if citizenship) and hand over my voting documents (so I can only vote once, also the volunteers will mark me on a list) and I vote. And no, I don't have to register to vote.

Your problem is that your common way of identifying is your damn drivers license and not an ID card like in nearly every other country.

Not defending this big, orange, walking, talking and shaking with his little hands, asshole. Just saying, not all of your problems are caused by him. Many of them are inherent to your political system.

Don't buy nvidia. Intel and AMD opensourced their drivers and, more importantly, care for their customer needs. And i am talking about gaming customers.

The only thing nvidia cares about is AI and lots of money.

They lie to their customers (fake frames, paperlaunch) und neglect the gaming needs in favor of AI.

On a unrelated topic: aren't you the nation with the most guns?

I am talking about the global phenomenon. Something like rox news does not exist here in Germany for example.

We always had right wing propaganda. But now we have social media too. And that produced a confirmation cycle. The propaganda channels spew lies, people spread does lies on social media, and the media cam say "look, there, normal people on X say the same thing, it must be true".

And of course, also the other way around

There are some studies. Mostly behind pay Walls. A good source I found a while back was this meta study.

Social media is to blame, at least in huge parts.

It offers a platform for unproven claims, and especially the short content formats are an issue:

You can not cover important topics fairly in those formats. Only populism can profit from it. And the far right does this.

We reached a point where people don't believe the published agendas of candidates and parties anymore. They only trust what the hear and see on social media.

Of course there are other factors, but this is an important one.

If the scale would not be consistent, the results is actual worse. The whole political spectrum is moving towards the right. Traditional left wing parties here in Germany doing right wing stuff is getting normal.

And I don't see any left party in the U.K. or U.S. parliaments.

I see your point. But that is such a toxic environment, and as you mentioned this can be observed from a far, that I would assume many prefer to stay under the radar to be able to at least something and not thrown under the bus by other Republicans.

Having more parties solves this part of the issue. And if the MAGA party or the Republicans end up with more votes is a completely different thing. And a thing I am scared to think about

Exactly. And there comes in the issue: if you want to vote conservative you have to take the far right bullshit. There is no in between. There is no "conservative without that nazi bullshit". So, if they could separate bit still have some power in the sense of seats in the parliaments, would that impact the political landscape?
