Will this ridiculous yearly grandstanding ever stop?

Anyone that thinks, not supporting Ukraine to at least keep Russia in check, should read “The Rise Fall of the Third Reich“.

I completely disagree with the shutdown. The role of these legislators is to find compromise. But I also have to say that the root of the problem is a massive oversized government we can’t continue to pay for.

Yeah I got you. I guess I agree with you. For something current and local Twitter was your best bet. I just think it's much more about consumption than getting anybody's voice heard. This is especially true of X. The platform is there mainly for people with an existing large audience to get their message amplified. It's not there to get the smartest or most interesting voices heard.

Reddit has always been much better at building community than twitter. Twitter has always been about getting somebody voice propagated. To a huge extent the louder and more belligerent you are twitter will help amplify your message because it’s in twitters financial interest. It’s not even remotely like a public square that it loves to compare itself with.

The government will always want more. The reason you have a judicial oversight is to slow it down. If the judges actually do more that just rubber stamp everything I don’t know but even forcing the rubber stamping is a good idea. Justice can’t happen in secrecy.

Both X and Reddit have lost my interest. I really liked Reddit but X was and is for people that like to be told what to think.

You are right. The ones in the screen just don’t work well enough. Why after the pixel 4 they abandoned face recognition is beyond me.

I’ll bet these companies throw everything under the sun into the theft bucket. That includes internal mishandling of inventory. They then exaggerate the costs for insurance claims.
