  • So true about the messaging issues. I had one woman get seriously pissed at me for asking a question about one of the interests in her bio. She said something to the effect of "Are you here to interrogate me or what?" I was just trying to start a conversation, but I quickly moved on, she clearly was crazy or stupid.

  • Poly was actually my wife's idea for many of the reasons you list above. It's not just sex though, my wife is also not a touchy feely person, and I am, as she calls me, a cuddle monster. Thankfully we are good at communicating and deeply love each other, and so were able to navigate all of this without arguing, yelling, etc...

  • My wife and I are poly. Neither of us have found a long term person yet (Wife isn't really looking because she is graysexual and doesn't really want any additional deep emotional connections), but we've met a few great people who probably could have worked but for one or two incompatibilities. I've seen enough over the past two years to see that it definitely can work.

  • I also don't get it. I find his writing style to be boring, and feels undeveloped, especially since I started as a child reading the classics. Maybe if he was my intro to books I'd feel differently. Same situation with JK Rowling as well, I just don't get what everyone sees in her books compared to other fantasy novels.

  • The recruiter is who I want to yell at. Her whole job is to find real candidates, and I was able to figure out in 5 minutes that something was off about the guy just from comparing LinkedIn and his resume, and then doing a quick Google search with his name + employers.

  • Unless you get caught. We were supposed to interview someone the other day, so I googled him, and found out that his resume and LinkedIn job histories don't match. That lead me down a rabbit hole where I found out he is working multiple full time jobs simultaneously while most likely farming the work offshore, and his job titles were completely wrong inaccurate on both LinkedIn and how resume. Also the references he listed appear to be himself, as their job history is also not real.

Not only did his interview get cancelled, he's marked as non-hireable in the future.

  • No question. It took me 6 years and thousands of hours to find mine (distant matches only, and birth father was dead, and birth mother was also adopted, which added an extra 2 years to the search). If it wasn't for DNA I would never have located her though.

  • The 2020 primary that was stopped early? The one where everyone except Sanders and Biden dropped out because they were promised other positions if they endorsed Biden? That's before we even get to 2016, where the DNC blatantly rigged things.
