  • This is a great outlook. It's important to not lose sight of the problems that do exist and try to work towards solving them, yes. But don't lose sight of the positives, either.

My answer to the question asked would likely be, I've been depressed my whole life, what's another problem. Lol

But we do have to recognize that in spite of all of the bad we can list, there's a lot of good as well.

  • As a colorblind person, I'm constantly baffled that I have to explain that an external device isn't going to modify how my eyes work. My eyes can't see the colors. Glasses aren't going to change that. The best I can hope for is that the glasses help me distinguish two colors I struggle with by forcing them to appear further away on the spectrum but never more than that.

  • This works for me. So long as you have a Kindle device registered on Amazon, you should be able to download directly to a desktop. The DeDRM plugin mentioned removes the DRM during ingestion into Calibre and requires an actual token from Amazon which is linked to the Kindle device you downloaded from.

I use this to get Amazon eBooks into my Remarkable 2 which requires DRM free.

  • I think this is compounded by his reputation goes past just his fans.

I actually don't think I've ever played a Kojima game and I don't know that I ever will but even I understand he has a reputation of making extremely solid games even if it means he's fighting tooth and nail to continue that trend.

  • I'm expecting another 1.5-2 years on the release for this. They've announced it's feature complete and moving to the polish stage. That where they will fix bugs and ensure gameplay functionally feels correct.

Considering the number of chapters they had announced in the roadmap I imagine they have a lot of have to cover.

  • Dynamic zones help balance the processing of a particular zone across multiple servers based on usage.

In a static setup, an unlimited number of players could end up on the same server causing performance issues in a particular zone. While dynamic will cap the number of players on a server and split the single zone into many to preserve performance.

  • I'm not sure what that last paragraph was about, but I was extremely religious throughout highschool. Like, leading youth group retreats and all.

Catholicism comes in many forms for many people. The OP could be legit. My family struggled with the idea of fantasy. It was a strongly held belief that dabbling in things that tilted occult would result in possession. An actual conversation I had with my mother was that Magic the Gathering would result in demonic possession, which would not be fixed because the Catholic Church officially stopped exorcism after Vatican II.

Some people take Catholicism more seriously and at seriously more weird ways than you can imagine from "having a Catholic friend."

  • I grew up Catholic. The answer might be yes because weird things are considered sins, but there's a built in mechanism for getting around that.

Confession is used for way worse things than "I used the devil's tool at the instruction of my teacher"

  • New in town doesn't mean unheard of. You could build up a reputation on the way to town that is being passed around by other travelers.

And some if the rumors could be things that happened the night before.

  • The main thing I want from ES6 is the same level of modability as Skyrim. I'd love for it to be as stable as Starfield.

I didn't think the need to dump creation to make a great game, they just need to stop trying to polish the rust. Some aspects of Creation aren't amazing but the staying power of Bethesda games has been about modding a compelling world in a well supported way. They need to ensure that whatever they do that they don't lose that.

I think Starfield has a lot going for it but I don't find the world compelling enough to want to spend time in the way I did Skyrim. I enjoyed the time I did spend but I don't see that itch coming back. Starfield made me want to play a space game with magic, but I've I got it's magic unlocked I didn't feel that desire was fulfilled.
