Here's a little story 'bout a cat named Locutus.
All started when this big square ship tried to shoot us.
Next thing you know up on the main screen

Ego has been mentioned. Sunk cost fallacy plays a part. Combine those and people tend to over value the effort they've made to form their opinion, either through some form of information consumption or synthesis of known ideas/held opinions, while devaluing/doubting the existence other people's previous efforts. So, you often end up with two people who both think they're informed and assume the other person is just making up an opinion right now and failing to see their valuable insight.
I'm used to a drier climate. When I've visited some places that are more humid, I've been surprised how much more I can smell everything. Every person. Every place. Around corners. What's on the ground. Everything.
I do wear a scented antiperspirant because I like how it smells, it doesn't react badly with me and I don't wear a lot of other scents. But yeah, some places require more than that even.
Iran and Hamas just wanted to stop Saudi Arabia from establishing diplomatic ties with Israel, further marginalizing Iran in the region. They succeeded there, and the majority of the retribution fell on the citizens of Gaza.
Iran got everything they wanted and came out clean.
With the biggest hedonists on earth hiding behind pulpits in churches, legislatures and boardrooms, of course he's going after people practicing actual love and intimacy with others.
Can't tell if guy needs a mental health evaluation or is going for one after the trial to reduce/alter sentencing. He doesn't seem competent. Pleading not guilty and then openly admitting to stuff on the stand makes it seem like he doesn't understand the situation he's in.
Hot is still relative. Are you talking about soup, a cup of coffee/tea or outside temperature? People would probably answer differently in each instance.
Climate change will do this. No additional conspiracy required.
There's research showing people get incrementally less intelligent as oxygen ratios get worse. There's also research showing that plants (which really all of our food depends on one way or another) become less nutritious and more sugary/starchy as carbon dioxide ratios rise. That's before we even factor in things like endocrine disruption from plastic particulate ubiquity and dozens of other pollutant effects.
We really are the frog in the slowly boiling pot, and even when citing sources on this kind of thing people would rather argue about it. 🤷♂️ (I'm not going to bother. Can be looked up easily enough if you're so inclined.)
