  • Maybe give the OnlyOffice Desktop Editors a spin, too. Don’t get me wrong, LibreOffice is great and all, but OnlyOffice looks and feels a lot more familiar to Word/Excel/PowerPoint users. I’ve found that its handling of document formatting is better than LibreOffice’s.

There’s a server component, cloud plans available, yadda yadda, but you really only need the desktop editors. https://www.onlyoffice.com/download-desktop.aspx

  • Happens to me with three Dell displays attached to an AMD GPU with DisplayPort. Distro is EndeavourOS. Whenever it happens there happens to be a kernel update available and, after installing it and rebooting, the problem goes away for a few days.

  • Historically I’ve tried to buy replacement batteries directly from Lenovo whenever possible, as I tend to think of the device’s manufacturer as the most reliable source of its batteries. However, I’ve used encompass.com for replacements on numerous occasions, and have found them to be equally reliable (though they have been slow on occasion).

  • I can’t get used to vanilla GNOME. First things I always install are Dash to Panel, ArcMenu, Caffeine, AppIndicator support, and Pop Shell. It’s basically Cinnamon with a tiling/stacking toggle and without the need for a “restart if it crashes” setting.

  • Low resource footprint — smaller than EndeavourOS on my laptop. Stability is fantastic. Bookworm practically just came out, so the packages are all much newer than they were in Bullseye, making it a viable option for someone who wants an uneventful Linux distro that fades into the background and lets you get stuff done.

  • Same. I’ve done the vanilla Arch thing and it’s alright, but the quality of life enhancements that come with EndeavourOS make it a great daily driver.

It’s the only distro I could get DaVinci Resolve Studio, Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k, and my Radeon RX 6750 XT working with, consistently.
