yeah. actually I do care about the ecosystem but I don't think messing up everything is the best way of fixing stuff. I'd much rather electric trains carry the bulk of transportation than simply stopping all transportation

if you want to 'save the world' while stopping

• chip manufacture
• the internet (because the world needs new chips often)
• Lemmy (because no internet)
• food (because less agriculture from other countries) <-- which we all want (no shipping = no avocados, no Indian spices)
• medicine <-- which we need
• the majority of jobs <-- which we really need

then go and try, but don't be surprised when no one is in favor of your insane plan
