yeah that's true. alternatively you could convert BTC to Monero, send that Monero to another account, and then convert that back to bitcoin, but at that point there isn't much of a reason to use Bitcoin

people in authoritarian countries use it to bypass restrictive laws. there's an ethical use right there

why cant you rent a server from linode or Amazon and work there? I've never done this before but it sounds like that should work

bad things would happen once some people decided to mess with the system, not share their wealth, and raise a military. then all those globaly unionized workers would need a military. and btw the military wouldn't be allowed to unionize separately, their suppose to follow orders. fun thought experiment but wouldn't work too well

in some sense, the government is a monopoly for some things. monopolies should only be allowed in some cases imo

a public ledger doesn't hide that much, just use a ton of mixers and stuff for the transactions and no one can tell where the moneys gone

The unpopular opinion is what follows directly after this, a desire for a currency not controlled by these groups. Which exists, and is hated
