  • what foolish regionalism are you universalizing now

Apparently the answer's green, I mean I would have gone with blue (star trek science officers, for one thing) but whatever, why would it matter except in an unnecessarily strict conformist-centric education system... is this American bullshit I'm smelling?

edit: ooh this is accumulating downvotes fast, I've hit a nerve i see, let me help..

  • Spotify could charge ten times their current price - indeed, should have been, for nearly the entire catalogue of western music? even at $100/mo it would have been a steal - and even so, they wouldn't be paying artists significantly more, or even at a reasonable rate.

The model is the problem. The middleman is the problem. The service itself is the problem. It can never work in a way that pays artists fairly as long as it requires human oversight, administration and intervention, let alone all the wasteful shit like advertising and legal overhead/payola for politicians.

Get an AI to do it right, though... puffpuff, pass

  • "even though most are insured" Of course they have debt - insurance is a scam, it's not a solution to a problem, it's a problem you accept to act as a middleman between you and other possibly bigger problems enabled by the incredibly shitty culture we've created which is not worth continuing.

And the prices of american health care are a direct response to that scam, by the way. as far as they're concerned every bill is directed at the insurance industry and is aimed at recouping lost costs due to the bullshit insurance companies pull.

Just because it's always been this way doesn't mean it's not incredibly, incredibly dumb.

  • Oh sure, great idea! Henceforth, actors don't get paid any more. that's what you're advocating, that's what the music industry has "figured out" - how to steal all the money and give it to people who had no involvement with actually making the music.

You should be pirating the fucking music not supporting the pricks who walked in off the street and stole everything and who make nothing at all themselves

edit: bitching about the facts just makes you more wrong
