What do you even do for something like this? A literal child? Do you lock them up for life? Rehabilitate under close supervision and reassess? Can someone like this even be rehabilitated?
I think there are certainly crimes that deserve the death penalty (think CP type crimes). Just get those people out of society tbh, but this is just my opinion.
The only problem I have is with 100% certainly. You would have to be certain, or very very close to absolute certainty, that you have the right person who committed the crime.

But seriously…whistleblowers are our modern day sentinels. I have the utmost respect for people willing to expose the truth at significant risk and danger to themselves. I hope I would have the integrity to stand up for what’s right if put into such a position.
