And for the second time in two weeks I've had "your interview was fantastic, we really loved you, but we've gone with an internal candidate this time." Arghhhh

I didn't put my one small reindeer ornament away last year so this year's decorating's already done.

When I had to switch my cat to an all-wet food diet recently I was talking to my vet about what I was feeding, and he said "oh Dine? Yes that's the yummiest wet food." It wasn't until I was on my way out that I started to wonder, um, how does he know??

Is there anything more dramatic than a cat whose food bowl is only 95% full?

Look, it's fine, but I'm going into a job interview soon and my hair is a frizzy mess. It's not projecting the most professional image. But oh well, I can't fix it.

I've been dancing with my cat and singing 'When you're a Jet' from West Side Story, but swapping it to 'When you're a Cat'. I'm sure he loves it.

Shrek

I popped up to Northland at about 2 because I needed a couple of things. I expected it to be dead as usual on a weekday arvo. It was total bedlam. I guess a combo of the sales and the heat, neither of which had really registered with me.

I survived, but I'll be trying not to enter a shopping centre again between now and at least mid-Jan.

Compared to the week ahead it is.
