Right, I understand all that but I still can’t figure out why DNS is going to a 14 Eyes country instead of staying in Switzerland.

This confuses the fuck out of me because my VPN in Switzerland using TLS DNS shows Germany as the country in DNS leak tests.

The Swiss DNS provider doesn’t have servers in Switzerland?

As a generic white guy born and raised in the Midwest I’m so happy that the school system there forced me to learn a foreign language.

Spanish has been by the far the most useful skill taught to me. Having moved to Los Angeles I quickly befriended many people, some who only spoke Spanish and I got to hear their stories firsthand. It’s rather depressing how other white people here don’t know Spanish at all despite being surrounded by it.

My wife is from Mexico City and I’ve gone to parts of Mexico to visit her family there. It’s liberating spending weeks thinking, speaking, listening and conversing in another language. With an open mind the weird cultural ticks you might see in others begin to make sense.

All this to say: learn another language! I hated it initially and without it being required I would’ve never discovered so much later in life.

I remember when YouTube Music first came out it was pretty much just the audio from the videos in the most atrocious quality. Has it changed since then?

I’m just using a Hario pour over coffee set, it was like $30 altogether.

Part of my story also involves getting away from Keurig because the machines are so unreliable and the K-Cups are so terrible for the environment.

I used to be like this but once I found really good coffee beans (to grind myself) I only needed a bit of agave and an unsweetened oat milk creamer.

Part of the change is due to going vegan (no more mint Oreo dairy creamer) but it forced me to discover better flavors.
