Agree with your entire sentiment but wanted to note that Khashoggi was tortured and executed by Saudi Arabia, not the UAE. Same area geographically and relatively similar politics and human rights record, but UAE is not run by MBS.

Totally agree about the slavery and women's rights etc tho.

If they financed with a variable rate while interest rates were rock bottom and government subsidies were peaking then this is exactly what you'd expect from the Fed rasing the interest rate.

Sure, some of these are due to unemployment and other circumstances but the major factor that changed was the prime interest rate, which can directly impact loan payments at a scale that is more directly measurable than something like unemployment, which is indirectly caused by the interest rate hike.

Yes. Frankly I'm unsure it makes a difference which scale you use.

Probably because at the end of the day:

1. Most people don't have the tools or desire to figure out how to run an LLM locally.
2. What if I run a local LLM on my PC and I leave my home? Do I now need to learn how to deploy a VPN at home so I always have access? I could do this, but I don't want to. Oh, you know a model that runs on Android? What if I have an iPhone?

I'm not super in tune with everything that happens in the backwards US states but this doesn't sound like something that is happening. Yes, I've heard that some states are or have inquired about getting data from health apps about period tracking, and I've read the articles about the nefarious ways that they could use that data, but I've seen nothing about the impact that could have on tourists.
