  • Principles!? They have less of that than craftsmanship!

  • Honestly their results have been absolute shit for a while now. All I get are big business (mostly MS with Bing) results like Amazon links or worst yet, some BS AI built website with poorly stolen info meant to just push visitor traffic and not actually provide value.

I’ve been looking into alternates and find Yandex actually provides real results. They don’t blacklist either something all the major US engines do because DMCA.

At this point it’s like to I give up privacy and get real results or stick with DDG that seems in MS’ pocket so I have little trust they are still anonymizing your results.

  • Yeah I have no doubt that was the original idea. But now it just filters out all but 2 candidates that are paid for by big business and other outside investors. All of them foaming at the mouth to get whatever law makes them another billion eradicated or passed.

  • Definitely a lot of biases but I’ve never met anyone outside the US that even remotely likes Trump. I think the world really sees your presidency as a total joke. But I mean Bush Jr… twice.

  • Not relatively. Been that way for maybe 8 or more years. They also monitor the number. I’ve made 3-4 accounts using one over a series of maybe 5 years and when I tired to make a new one, it blocked the number for making too many. So I can now never have a Google account unless my number changes. And the poor sod who picks up my old number is also screwed lol

  • Hi. I’m not American. But we all understand Trump’s threats. Or the inherent threat he poses. I think I speak for the world.

I’m more worried about a system that let someone like that get this far!

  • This just in: “guy in the military claims they are smart”. More at eleven.

  • Lobby? They basically own government. I don’t think people realize how big business’s only fight is amongst other big business. They don’t fight with law makers, they make them.

  • Because bags of money. And MS is a hyper toxic entity that’s been siphoning the data of every Windows user for decades now. That company is basically IBM during WW2.

  • Yeah that’s just some real tin foil shit

  • Bro got recruited by the military. Kinda says a lot about his “intelligence.”

  • Bro is buying the wrong sized bags, then complaining about how the bag companies are stupid. When someone points that out, they call them stupid.

The internet is a magical place.

  • My gym did that. But it’s not really an app, it’s a QR code you pull up to scan, wrapped in some semblance of trying to be an app. Which means I took a screenshot and just pulled that up. Still stupid.

But you can also just print it out and put it on a card 😎

  • Google is an American company. Apples and Oranges.

  • I think you have it backwards, in that it’s the US that’s trying to stop all the Chinese propaganda coming from that app.

And if TT pull out of the US, it’s pretty telling that their core drive for that thing wasn’t money.

  • You mean by deleting old, totally innocuous posts like a week after they posted it? What rule I broke I don’t know. Don’t much feel “heard” as a user

    Good luck with your sub

  • Yup pretty much. Everything is a laundry list of tracking and “live ops” that’s meant to basically consume your entire life. Games are all gated by time barriers unless you pay.

Everything is a subscription and most are ridiculously priced that if you subbed to 8 of them, you’d be out near $100 a month! For a handful of apps!

Apple never cared about the long game. I guess just like every other company. All Cook cared about was dollars. And since they took 30% of everything, insanely priced subscriptions were like gold to them. They also span off browser extensions into pseudo-apps to further widen their reach.

Integrity and quality is absolute shit. Even in iOS. Every version feels like a beta with either graphical glitches or serious bugs. It’s like we’re regressing.

I haven’t been interested in app for almost a decade because there’s just nothing worth my time.

It’s honestly nice to know that there are others that feel the same. As that’s the only way we can hope to shift away from this shitshow of basic thievery.
