  • Nice one. I'd assume much of today's trash is also not the best they could do if they wanted to, but just what works on the internet? That is, for music that is actually made in some professional setting

  • Just added a downvote because there were already 145 (wtf?) and I wanted to be part of it! Highest number I've seen here so far, congrats!

I wonder how many others just thought it's fun to jump on the downvote train. Nothing personal and there are worse things to worry about than a random count on a random website

  • The whole Musk takeover is much less relevant (in the sense of interesting) for people outside the western context. I asked a few friends in Japan why they still use Twitter, but they just don't care about the platform and ownership as long as they can still interact with their friends there. Curious how the botification will affect that over time, though.

  • Yes, sounds awesome! And let's embed that chamber in a massive near-vacuum, so if you try to leave it, you suffocate. Also, it's a giant, spinning blob in the middle of nowhere, with a gravity center at its core so you physically can't even get away from it without a massive propulsion system and then what - go to the next random blob that offers nothing? Haha, I like your idea!

  • Japan has an industry for that with quite different business models. I don't think it produces many loving relationships, but it's at least a good reference for other flawed approaches that haven't worked.

One thing they get a bit better: You pay mostly if they find a matching partner for you and there is a wedding fee (so if it did work for people to decide they get married, that's when you pay). Many, many other problems though

  • The idea of matches based on statistical calculations is just wild. I get basic requirements like non-smoker, vegan etc, but more like a filter. Beyond that, it's random black magic that doesn't work and is quite principally a flawed approach
