  • OCCT doesn't require you to purchase it for personal use (although you will get a 10sec timer before you can start a benchmark/stability test), which is why i think it doesn't count as "donationware"

  • From what I've read so far your code was too buggy, Leah then rewrote it (from scratch, as you just said) and then submitted her own code. What's the problem? You even got a "All round good guy" on the contrib page (Also: Hi Brodie :))

  • one of my portainer instances completely broke a few months ago because of a failed db migration after an update. i've been using dockge ever since and i'm happy with it. it stores every stack you deploy as a docker-compose file on your regular filesystem, so if it ever breaks you can just edit the files instead

  • We're using Arch 2

(No it doesn't, it just has some bugs here and there, e.g. my media keys don't work after a couple days of uptime (gnome). I stopped actively looking for and reading the release notes years ago as it just works... and if it doesn't, I still have a btrfs snapshot from before the update)

  • That's not the point. The biggest project that currently is on codeberg is forgejo with about 1000 stars. The biggest project that currently is on github is freeCodeCamp with 383000 stars.
You see the difference? If a dev only pushes to codeberg, they have basically no way of being discovered, because there is no one to discover them.

I think I should add that I am a supporting member of Codeberg e.V.
