Android is primarily sponsored and advertised by Google, which is basically the world's largest advertising company that also happens to have an IT department.
iOS is exclusively sponsored and advertised by Apple, which is basically a large IT company that makes most of its money with rather expensive hardware.
One of those is a wiser choice if you care about your privacy.
I did. TinyMCE is still less comfy to use in my opinion. Of course, that’s probably a matter of taste. Also, I wonder when Automattic will stop supporting it.
It depends. The RAR5 format used by newer WinRAR versions (the "old" one is still supported just well) can have smaller archives than 7z, but the opposite is also true. Still, yes, WinRAR is in my experience faster and more stable.
(Note that "as small as possible" is not usually the most relevant point. The best compression is currently reached with the ZPAQ format, but using it with maximum compression settings is painfully slow.)
I use WinRAR (as a switch from 7-Zip) because it works well enough, is fast and stable and has good compression. For me, switching to another Windows archiver would have no merit.
In some countries, that might be the case. However, in Germany (where I live), there is no way to have something "not copyrighted". The author holds the copyright unless explicitly licensed. (Here's where the CC0 comes in handy, but the CC licenses weren't made for software...)
Our § 29 UrhG explicitly denies the possibility to give up your copyright before your death. Austria has similar laws. So no, nothing is "public domain" in Germany.
(edit:) See also this discussion on Hacker News for broader details.
The problem with Public Domain is that it does not exist in most jurisdictions. There is no "Public Domain" in (edit: at least parts of) the EU, for example.
Yes, but... - anyway, what exactly would a different rendering engine improve for your experience?
Vinegar exists.
