I certainly can't speak for anyone else, but personally I would be useful in productive ways. I went through a period of every nerds' dream of staying home and playing video games all the time and it drove me nuts. Yeah, it was nice for a little while, but not having the money to go anywhere or do anything made me look forward to working again. If I'd have had money, I would not have been home very much.
But Hawaiian has ham, so why no red sauce? If it doesn't have ham as well as pineapple, it's not a Hawaiian. Still, absolutely beautiful pie. Wish could try some! Cowabunga, dude!
Brooo... this is how I do nachos! FRESH sliced jalapeños, not pickled. The flavor profile is much fresher. Nice presentation, but like someone else said, portion is too small! lol
Ha! I can imagine. Must be like living in a small town with no way to get away from it. I hope your experiences in the US were good. I'm so disappointed in and ashamed of my country. We should be better than, well, this [gestures around].
Yokosuka! I spent a lot of time in Kamakura. Got to go to several sake-blessing festivals there. We made port in quite a few different places- I've been to the ice festival in Hokkaido, been to Sasebo a few times, a girl I I dated at the time took me to the onsen in Hakone, visited Ramen Amusement in Shin-Yokohama, and visited Peace Park in Hiroshima. Such a beautiful country with many lovely people and insanely good food. Like I always told the people I met there: 俺は外人、でも心は日本人。
Hmmm...red onion I could definitely see adding to the flavor. I've had some versions that used sweet white onion, but I'm not sure how pickled red onion would play with the rest of the flavors. I'd be interested to see what it tastes like.
Hmmm...maybe at some point in history they had nothing but cucumbers to eat and they were sick of trying to find new ways to eat them? In any case, it was a hit at the picnic. Brought home an empty container!
