  • Maybe Plex/Emby/Jellyfin paid shares.

Many people will download everything that exists, and paying a small amount is cheaper than the hardware you'd need to get it all, assuming you invest the difference in a global index like Vanguards VT.

I used to buy 8tb disks for 200$ a pop, and I stopped at 800$, with barely enough to fit a reasonable number of 1080p movies.

  • These terrorist organizations are at least nice enough to let you attempt to capture a relatively weak pikachu for over a decade. My boss gets mad if I go over my 15 minute coffee break.

  • Many countries are doing mass immigration to goose GDP to hide a recession.

Looking at Ireland they have doubled immigration, meaning they too are goosing GDP.

They also have a housing crisis as well, so its clearly being done for fake economic growth at the expense of the poor.

  • The game is abusing the reserve currency to fund your defense. The US extorts third world countries into accepting its inflation by utilizing USD, which funds its military, and Europe figured it would be able to coast on the the US doing this in perpetuity.

The problem the US faces is China stopped recycling into US treasuries, and other countries are following suit. So the world is changing and rates will be higher globally moving forward, hence Europe's sudden goal of rushing in a CBDC by October.

I'm not crazy right, clearly aging demographics and higher yield treasuries are the cause of all of this instability the last few years?

  • What system is it you want for illegal immigrants?

What in your non-bigot view should be happening to them and why?

I tend to believe in a highly progressive tax system as a social safety net, a minimum income for instance, so I do tend to prefer tighter immigration. I also dislike cheap labor that debases salaries and working conditions.

  • Sam Altman hasn't complained surprisingly, he just said there's competition and it will be harder for OpenAI to compete with open source. I think their small lead is essentially gone, and their plan is now to suckle Microsoft's teet.

  • Well I think the problem is some are really bad, like the interrogations of journalists, but then you see things like "Trump proclamation bars immigrants who cannot pay for healthcare".

Its these latter ones really muddying the water, and I assume people write it all off as hyberbole.
