One in a Thousand ist still low enough that it is very likely you will never meet a person involved with this in your entire life. In the EU the rate of traffic death per 100,000 people per year is at about 7.5. So for any given person the chance of dying in a traffic accident in 13.3 years is as high as that.

Over a life span of 80 years the probability of knowing one incestous person is as likely as knowing 6 people that died in traffic accidents at current accident rates and assuming independant and random distributions.

I'd be more shocked to lose 6 friends to traffic accidents over my lifetime than one of them turning out to have had an incestous relationship.

Also then the prophet Mohammed would have needed some sort of elusive Jewish or Christian mentor, that somehow was close to him all the time over two decades, reading the Torah or Bible to him. But no such figure is mentioned, despite the life of Mohammed to be about the best reported on life of a historical figure. There is countless of eyewitness reports about his life and work, yet there is no mention of such a person. The Quran strictly rejects the concept of trinity or Jesus being the literal son of god, but confirms the virgin pregnancy of Mary. So it seems extremely implausible for their to be a Christian who would have told all these things to Mohammed.

The reason why i am so pedantic about it, is because the statements made by Mohammed are not just some general "there is angels with wings and stuff" or "there was this Moses guy" statements, but sharing details with the Torah descriptions in Hebrew, but also distinctly differing on some aspects with the Torah in a consistent way. For instance the differences in the story of Moses or Abraham

So an Arab who lived in a city where Pagan believes dominated and neither read nor write was read the Torah in hebrew that he didn't understand? And that is how he made statementes consistent with the descriptions in hebrew, which again he didn't understand?

And those stories didn't change over 3.000 years?

The accounts are consistent over a timeframe of about three thousand years, counting from Abraham to Mohammed (s.a.s). Note that Mohammed was an arab who could neither read nor write, leave alone hebrew.

If it was just some birds brought in by merchants that would be an extraordinarily long time to not realise that.

If humans are bound to a three dimensional realm it only makes sense that god created angels as higher dimensional beings to intercede between the limited humans and the infinity of god.

The German government denied adequate compensation to LGBT concentration camps survivors to this day and only in 2017 they opened for legal rehabilitation. So until 2017 someone that was convicted for homosexuality by the Nazis and put into a concentration camp was considered a convict.

Equally political activists, Sint and Roma and disakled people (or people ascribes as being so) faced similiar issues of non recognition and non compensation.

And it is no surprise that the option for homosexuals was only opened when almost all the surviving victims have died of old age. Focusing the spotlight on the Holocaust was done to deflect from the continued discrimination and subjugation of other victim groups.

So what do you mean by white collar crime? Does it include killing people or not? Because knowingly bringing about systems that result in the death of people, having a private security contractor that you know will shoot striking workers in your third world countries plantation or ordering a hit on someone are all the same. It is decided that people will die for the companies profit and just because the people who order it dont do it directly themselves, doesn't change the gravity of it.

Also there os myriads of examples from today, where western companies directly or indirectly order people to get killed, just usually in third countries. The idea that a defense company with billions of profits at stake every year doesn't have access to hitmen is unconvincing. Why wouldn't they? Just as the mafia is branching into white business, white business of size are employing criminal means.

That is a very good read on the situation. I highly respect the Filipino foreign affair official. He voices his concerns and assessement of the situation realistically and neutrally instead of throwing around sensationalized propaganda claims.

In most civilised countries it is impossible for underage offenders to get life. Forinstance in Germany the maximum prison sentence for a minor is ten years. Also youth prisons are focused much more on rehabilitation, social work and education, so the children have a chance at life after their sentence.

Your alternative is the Dems continueing to fuck over the poor people in and outside the US and the Republicans to sucessfully blame it on the libs, but doing the same, fueling an ever far right extreme spiral.

In the end i guess voters get what they deserve for never demanding actual positive change from the party that proclaims for itself to be progressive.
