Fwiw, after lemmy.ml announced last week that they would preemptively block/defed anything owned by Meta, and lemmy.world didn't, I got the heebie-jeebies and relocated my main account to .ml. I've learned to listen to little red flags like that and now this.

Neither does the PS5 but there's a 3.5mm jack and a built in mic in the controller. Sony's claim is that standard Bluetooth isn't fast enough to stay in sync with the screen and your control inputs, so they have their own bespoke wireless (but not Bluetooth) headset. I'm happy enough with a cheap pair of wired headphones from the supermarket.

Alas, lemmy.world was hacked a few hours ago and they're still struggling to undo the damage. It's not you!

It's fantastic. I made it my daily because it works exactly the same on my phone, Windows PC and Linux PC.

I'm really unironically loving it. The range and depth of topics and discussions is growing by the day and it's a wonderful feeling to realise that these communities are, by design, safer from the clutches of Silicon Valley capitalists than they ever were on Reddit. I'll pitch in, I'll donate, shit I'll even try host stuff if needs be. I can contribute to this project and I find that immensely exciting.

I wish it hadn't taken me so long to realise what was going on here but I have only spez to thank for making me see the light. Attaboy, Steve.
