For me, MGS1. The tone of the game is really helped by its limited detail. It has the dark and serious mood throughout the game that just permeates this looming threat that is Metal Gear and the mysterious Foxhound unit. I think Twin Snakes doesn't look nearly as memorable or unique as MGS1 and I think a modern remake would lose a lot of the tone and atmosphere that the original had.
Oh and the artwork for MGS1 is just so incredibly good.
I can get a full, wellmade calzone and drink for 8.15 at a nearby pizza place. I got two small cheeseburges and a small fry for 10.00 at McDonald's. Ridiculous
Berserk is my favorite thing of all time. I own every volume up to 21, and 31 to 41. I make all of my first time playthroughs of souls games as a Guts-like character. I own a berserk sweatshirt, and a berserk t-shirt. Im as big of a fan as you can probably get. But man, there are some whackjob right wing psychos in that community. Most fans are fine, and you can have a normal conversation with most, but Berserk has a bad habit to draw weirdos to itself.
Have you played it after the 2.0 update? The combat feels awesome, as least my build did. I also disagree with the openworld being empty, driving around, listening to music, was one of my favorite things to do. Occasionally coming across little stories and unmarked encampments was really fun.
Maybe im too optimistic, but i think its more current society as a whole is doomed, but humanity will probably survive and maybe even recover, hopefully smarter and less profit driven.
And even if we don't make it, at least the Earth will survive, and maybe the next civilization wont be so greedy.
"Relax man, I was just going to shoot you in the head and kill you."
