  • I'll consider using Voyager once the Android app looks and feels more like an android app instead of iOS.

Just saying. I have to deal with this kind of issues every day at work.

    Signed; an android dev.

  • As someone who always drip filter, I was confused through most of this post failing to understand it was about coffee. At some point I considered whether it was about bra sizes.

I don't know, but as I get older I find it more and more silly when I see marketing naming things (wsl still takes the cake). For the record today was the first ever I heard about k cup for coffee or bra.

  • Oh is that why I shouldn't have 2 different plants in the same pot?

Sometimes I take too long to weed out things such as grass or clover from pots, and it seems to have bad effects on the plants closer to them while the same ones further down the pot go better. Other combinations of flowers also don't go well. I'm suspecting purple chalibrachoas suffocate the yellow and red ones, for example.

  • You can be all three at the same time!

Jokes apart, how would you prevent trolls and shills from trolling and shilling?

We already have a problem where real accounts get stolen because they have a history so it's harder to be flagged as bots. And one person can open multiple accounts in multiple networks. Hell, Facebook forces people to have phone numbers and there's still so many bots and shills there.

I don't want this to sound like a straw man, I think there's so many ways for bots to happen that it's like playing wack a mole.

  • I trend to agree with you. The world is messed up, interviews aren't supposed to be fair to you, and you're probably competing with dozens of people.

No matter how good you are, and if you tick all the employers boxes (which may be unfair in itself and takes quite some luck to do), that's not enough. What is enough is that you're the best candidate among dozens of qualified people, according to the subjective criteria of this particular interviewer, and you have no clue what to do to get there. So random gestures may take you over the line, as well as they may not.

  • Yep

I'm in a less is more phase. Consciously not pursuing certain things if it means I can get it with extra effort, and putting that effort into appreciating what I already achieved.

  • That is wholesome to hear. And I get you, society has some norms that are actually healthy when you mention it like that: shower frequently and don't let the house turn into a stinking cave 😃

Good on ya, and remember to be grateful to yourself for the results and actually take a minute to enjoy the outcomes.

  • Just chill, there's an insurmountable amount of work to have a perfect house. Is that what truly gives you happiness, or is it the untidiness that gives you unease?

And either case, is that truly coming from you or the family/peer pressure?
