  • Of course it is, since Marshall plan it works the same. Govt pays military private companies, they ship stuff to country in need, bank pays US govt back, bank adds sum to debt of country in need.

Who wins the most? Bank and company.

  • If the content was a commodity like oil or food it would mean all movies and series would be available to all streaming co. Then you could save money and choose the one that best serves your needs.

Since it's not the case it's more like worst case monopoly: if I want Star Trek I must suffer the bad experience that is paramount plus. If I want mandalorian I have no choice but to engage Disney Plus. Etc etc.

So not only you pay more, but there's no incentive to pick the best ones and improve experience of the bad ones

  • I got graduate and masters in the hardware area but learned all of those things about arm and riscV by myself. I only got to see mips and hypothetical ISA in my courses. Heck riscV and rpi didn't even exist.

All you need is interest and time.

  • Also I need to point that there's nothing scientific about year 0 matching up the birth of some dude, no matter who he/she/them is. Equally important scientifically is the eruption of a random volcano or the birth of a different dude. Or the death of one . Many calendars start when someone started being king, which usually coincides with their father's death.
