M1 laptops performance is not due to what most people believe, and all the side channel attacks unique to it I've heard from, come from speculative memory address loads. It's pushing speculation in directions neither Intel nor AMD or Arm chips did before, and they're released in a time where side channel attacks are starting to be very l well understood.

I'm sure there was an engineer saying this was a bad idea, over ruled by a manager under the pressure of CFO to make it happen. So I blame this on greed.

I'll put my bet that your computer is throwing false flags with payment/fraud detection. It could be the VPN and JavaScript blocking things.

Disagree strong. Every turn and chance, revenue is given preference over ease of use. Cookies, tracking, free trials where you need to either log in or add your credit card are trends that are very annoying for users. And from there we can get into specifics of what the app does.

It also doesn't explain why every software made in Microsoft, either from scratch or bought after being successful, is the absolute lesson in UI anti patterns.
