  • What else but regulations prevents the creation of surplus housing? That poverty as a feature post, why are those houses not been built?

It only takes a few people to solve the housing market in a liberal market by organizing the construction. With regulations, it takes a majority to make a change. The same majority who could rise taxes and build affordable housing with tax money right now.

There is land, unemployed people who can do the construction and people with income who seek housing and will pay for it. Who is preventing the construction?

  • You joke but with chatGPT it's inevitable. Old school programmers will stick to source code but tools for non-programmers will collect plain text descriptions to create functionality.

Inevitably, images and all other media will become part of it.

Future developers will have to navigate those collections and wonder why a functionality doesn't work when they remove some side-tracking Instagram stories. They will shrug, leave them in place and heap on further memes and comments until they complete their jira ticket.

  • I would like to share your attitude but fear the consequences when millions seek a place in the wilderness. What do you do when you arrive and your neighbor asks you to move on because he wants to be more alone?

  • If you rent for 20 month, and pay one month as fee, you save 5%.

How much over construction costs do landlords rent out their property?

If rent can go down much more than 5% I wouldn't focus energy on it but on other means to reduce rent.

  • Dictator is the better word because it implies a choice by the people. It's the reason why Octavian is the first Roman emperor but every ruler wants to be a Caesar.

In a way, calling Xi a dictator recognizes his legitimization. I am sure that was not intended.

  • It's older than the Greeks. The astrologers in Mesopotamia already collected historic events as a source for predictions

The Greeks mostly copied that. If they created it, they wouldn't have used this 'goat' as the first constellation of the year that started with the spring equinox.

  • It's not a matter of responsibility.

The rich and powerful won't safe the world. If we don't want to live in a world with so many natural desasters that there is no farming and only synthetic food, then things have to change.

The opposite of the rich and powerful are not the weak and vulnerable but almost everybody. It's OK to let things happen but it's also possible to change everything, maybe even in a week or two.

  • If renters don't pay the fee, what prevents brokers from charging the landlords, who will increase rent to make it back?

Why not offer a central register where every offer has to be registered which could eliminate the need for brokers entirely?

  • Makes me believe that there is no elite but just stupid rich people. Even if you don't care about the suffering, how can anybody in power let that evolutionary knowledge of the universe go to waste?

That doesn't make me comfortable about the future usage of AI.
