  • This is a really gross and condescending take. Outrage over incels isn't performative, and if you think so you're either stupid or a psychopath. Just because you don't personally face threats of bodily harm doesn't mean it isn't real.

    Go outside.

  • Lots of people are left out of society, that’s no excuse for violent hatred. There are plenty of men who don’t turn into disgusting abusive trolls; the ones who do don’t get a pass because life is hard.

It’s obscene to suggest that they don’t have a choice or bear responsibility for their actions. It insults and directly harms both them and their victims.

  • Have you somehow never interacted with technical support or customer service?

The moron I got at my isp the other day insisted that “internet” and “wifi” were the same thing.

You can in no way assume that because you said laptop, they are directing you to a web app.

  • The first example in that article is an office photocopier. I'm a middle aged nerd and I am regularly baffled by those things. Paper orientation is the least of the problems with those psychotically uninitiative beasts and their cruel and unusual menu systems.

    Fuck photocopiers.

  • I'm giving Obsidian a try and I'm liking it, but I still use freebie Notion for a lot of work things.

I do ~6-12 month contracts, and have found that publishing notion pages is a really easy way to share stuff quickly with the team and keep it live-update-able by all parties. That feature suits some fast-paced environment needs.

I never really used evernote tho. I think i first tried it years ago before they allowed dark mode, so it automatically failed.

  • Yes we should be out to revoke chiropractors' degrees, but I'm not sure why that's coming up here since you asked about science specifically. Which chiropractic is not.

No one should be ok with people who run around pretending to be doctors and occasionally paralyzing babies and crippling people by trying to work magic. It's also revolting that any of it is covered by insurance and health plans, which materially takes real resources away from real medicine for people.
