  • Ok, this is up there with "lets attack Greenland"

  • Its freely availible with a permissive license, but I dont think that that claim has been verified yet.

  • One of those rare lucid moments by the stock market? Is this the market correction that everyone knew was coming, or is some famous techbro going to technobabble some more about AI overlords and they return to their fantasy values?

  • No idea who that is, but it sure isn't Hatsune Miku, creator of Minecraft!

  • Swapping CIA propaganda with CCP propaganda, I see. Temu does use slave labor for some products, or rather, they dont check whether the seller does and dont care when it happens. Just because that persons factory doesnt is not proof.

edit: ah it says child labor, ok no idea where that came from

  • Well, Matrix is all of that already, it uses its own protocol also called matrix, but its properly federated(unlike bluesky) and its open source. It also has a big userbase. The Matrix protocol is seen as a honorary member of the Fediverse. I think using activitypub may be a bad fit for real time messaging, so them using their own protocol makes sense. There are also XMPP server and clients, who do similar things to matrix, also federated and open source, however they are more like Whatsapp/Telegram etc.

  • Oi, you got a loicence to pay that ransom fee?

  • Yes, more accurate jumping, and you had more air control. You can still download 1.3., but its a bit hard to get it running nowadays.

  • In Super Tux 2(everything after 0.1.3) they changed the physics and made it incredibly floaty. Since then its never been the same.

  • You could edit the post, because right now its just misinformation.

  • But....they can already do all of that? And nothing is stopping you from having a secret offshore account in a foreign currency, instead of cryptocoins.

  • Sounds very interesting. Im not sure how open it will actually be, if they just mean its using RISC-V's open design and its just lost in translation or if they are actually trying to make an open hardware ecosystem.

edit: I read a bit more, it seems to be a apache-like licensed software only processor that one needs to implement first, so basically something inbetween pre RISC-V and an actual chip. Still cool, but I was hoping it was a finished chip.

  • its not near, but im sure some companies will claim they have it(and then get sued)

  • hmmm, did you try switching(vendor change) all system packages to pacman? (an option in the yast software installation module when you select the repository)

  • Permanently Deleted

  • no.

  • Yeah, looks like prime schizoposting, always sad to see (but also fun to read in a guilty pleasure way, im sorry but I love timecube et al.)

  • They recently added support for this in the kernel for AMD cpu cores, so this might have changed.
