  • Sometimes you just want to try something new, even if it's just for yourself. If you like it, you can keep doing it. If not, you gained valuable life experience.

  • At first glance I didn't realize that this wasn't a photo of a real place. Great work!

  • I've noticed that I tend to remember the first and last things someone says. If I have a throwaway thought, I generally put it in the middle, or else I decide not to mention it.

  • I can access it over my VPN. I was mostly surprised that KYM would use an IP ban, and the wording of the notice was amusing.

  • I do have a VPN, but they are blocking my complex's IP address here.

  • I feel heard with this one. Thanks

  • Here's the email I sent them:

    Greetings,

I have been informed by your charming and informative page that my IP address, 208.67.[redacted] has been banned. I live in an apartment complex with a complex provided network for internet. It is due to these unfortunate circumstances that I share an IP address with an individual which has behaved in a way deemed worthy of IP ban.

Please consider unbanning this IP address as it is shared by a minimum of 192 tenants.

    Thanks for your time,

  • Mildly Infuriating @lemmy.world

Guess I'm banned by Know Your Meme now.

  • I got fired for being late with no written warnings. They walked me off the campus and everything. I was basically in tears. (In hindsight, they probably didn't need me anymore, and didn't want to give me notice. They probably also wanted me to be able to claim unemployment.) I was emotionally wrecked for months, even after I got a new job. The good news for me is that about 6 months after I got fired, I met the woman who would become my wife. We are now happily married. Keep on keeping on, friend!

  • My doctor screened me for mild depression (I had a major life change recently) and we were able to improve it with some basic lifestyle changes and a vitamin D supplement. Everyone is different, but the solution they propose isn't always medication.

  • I think your edit is cool. I can't say the same for the fact that you called everyone who downvoted poor and catless. Maybe it would be a better fit in memes or onehundredninetysix?

  • Yeah, it didn't save much water when I was single. Half the time I didn't even fill the wash sink.

  • I'm not sure what you mean. I fully wash the dish in the wash water, then put it in the straight hot rinse water for a minute or so before putting it in the drainer to air dry. The hot water helps them air dry faster and rinses the soap off. If the rinse water is any less than completely clear, I'm not washing the properly, and I drain and refresh the rinse sink. In my opinion it saves water over rinsing each dish under running water.

  • Idk about others, but I have one sink for wash water, and one for rinse water.

  • Nope, it was written "Q-ing" on the "Q-ing Oven" itself, as well as in the training materials and manuals!

Edit: here's the manual for it!

  • When I worked at McDonald's in 2015, we called it Q-ing. That's what the official term was. We got in trouble for calling it anything else.

  • On the contrary, my arms are quite ready for gaming, thank you very much!
