  • One small thing that makes Libre Calc so much more pleasant than excel is you can highlight a bunch of cells by scrolling. No more dragging the mouse to the bottom of the screen and hoping for the best

  • One of my boys is a real talker. He's at the same stage saying things like "this is mine", "See you later", and "see you tomorrow". My girlfriend asked him what I do at work and he said "Helping old people" because that's what she says to him when I go do my tech support sessions.

  • Steven Wilson released a new album recently and I'm digging it. His last few albums had more of an attempted pop spin on them whereas this one is two songs that go for around 20 minutes each. I don't think we'll get another Hand. Cannot. Erase. but it's good to see a turn in that direction again.

  • Honestly, I think the 'approval' process for these places is you can fill out all the required fields on the form and the ABN supplied matches when they look it up, just so they know it's not a random bunch of numbers

  • I've done applications to two dropshipping places and two wholesale marketplaces. They'll probably just approve me and I can start ordering things from them as well.

Having an ABN reminds me of a quote from Mat Damon's character in 30 Rock, 'It's a pilot's uniform, you walk fast enough people just let you into anywhere'.

  • People made the mistake of giving my kids grated cheese yesterday, they grab a handful and try to put as much into their mouth as they can. It's a nightmare of a mess because you can't just vacuum it. Leave it to dry and it could just get stomped into the floor. Sweep too hard and you could just smear it. We really shouldn't just offer them the bag to grab handfuls

  • It's good and not too sad, but some of the ways they chose to block things makes it really stressful.

It's not 90 minutes of animated animal torture. The cat just needs to be continually put in a situation for the tension to keep up.

We didn't catch the end but it wasn't overly sad up to that point. It has a really hopeful vibe and a lighter tone.

It's like, just because it's an animated motive it's not completely for kids.

  • We watched Flow this morning. The animated movie about the cat.

Not quite as kid friendly as Wallace and Gromit, but an interesting movie. We had to leave early so I'm keen to see how it finishes.

It's dialogue free and doesn't beat you over the head with story so it's like watching a cinematic playthrough of a game like Journey. I want the boys to watch it when their a bit older to get their takes on the places, animals, and the world. It's a great movie to get their minds going
