We've not talking about colonizing though, we're discussing invasive species.

Given humanity (Homo Sapiens) is currently thought to have evolved in Africa, that is the natural human habitat. All other habitats we've created we can be thought of as an invasive species.

Heeey I am also a libertarian, I just tend towards left libertarian. Back to the point of discussion, I find it difficult to ha e a meaningful conversation with the tankies or in general anyone from lemmy.ml . The discussions tend to lack any real data and feel entirely vibe based OR it's apologist bullshit for Russia.

Like it's cool if you like communism and have a philosophy based around why you think it'll help humanity. I can politely disagree but still listen and discuss. It's quite another to just be a complete dipshit and say "Ukraine had the invasion coming" (actual quote I've seen).

Are you developing your opinions based on vibes or have you actually audited their software yourself (you are free to do so both client and federation server code)?

I had suspected it was faked because I only ever saw his picture and a quote like it was designed to look like a magazine. Turns out it's a direct quote from an Oprah interview he did in the late 80's

Biden at his core is a pretty solid straight lace public servant. He listens to the majority of the people and tries to do what's best for the country. While that move would be great for the country, it goes against his straight lacedness.

Yeah I'm sure I'd adjust but I also know ilmy other half is pretty firmly against moving out of our area. I personally would prefer to be in Portland. (Call it what you like, I love being there. I believe that if America has been more proactive, we could have either limited or delayed the infection. As I remember it, the infection spread from Asia to America and hit Europe after us on the East Coast, at least that what I remember hearing from the reports.

So yes, if we had been more proactive and developed a response much more in line with the Ebola outbreak, i believe it could have been delayed or lessened.
