  • I was here initially because of the api bullshit, but now I just live here. Still hoping for the factorio community to grow a bit, but life's pretty good and for the most part people are pretty polite. It's a nice change of pace.

  • While that's fair, the writing has been on the wall since the first article that Colorado republican party was going to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court. Particularly after they were quoted as saying that in the article. All this article does is reiterate and stoke the flames a bit. The only "interesting" thing in my opinion would be if SCOTUS said they weren't going to entertain the case.

Moving along, I'm interested to see if they do take this case, or if they use some legal tomfoolery to punt it.

  • That's incredibly aggravating. I won't ask you to dox them but you should absolutely call them out on their bullshit with this information.

People being given false information like that from trusted sources is how we end up in situations where a significant portion of the population believes that an election was stolen even though all evidence is to the contrary.

  • Good. Your religion does not control how a government functions. You want to live in a theocracy? Go live in Vatican City or one of the more authoritarian Islamic countries. If you live in the US the policy is what the government, not your God, make it.

  • So let me get this right, you'd like to see a guy who has a background in software and has done more advocation for better intellectual property rights, better regulation of corporations and general user roghts than eother of us will likely ever accomplish in our lifetimes.

And you like to put this guy into a warehouse and see him not get fired?

    ...Wat.

  • Perspective is always biased. Telling people you work for the company helps explain why the person is posting so much from that single source and helps readers be informed regarding potential bias (intentional or unintentional).

This can help to combat misinformation and foster better conversations knowing that the poster will discuss things from a company positive point of view that not every would share.

  • Required, no.

That being said, dude has said sorry, regardless of how rich I feel I should at least give him a chance before calling him an asshole again (for antisemitism specifically everything else is still free game)

  • I get the temptation to feel that way, but this development should be seen as a really good thing.

1st we have started to electrify everything which is fantastic but it's a Pandora's box, no one can just put that technology back in the box and we'll see continued development and improvement which reduces CO2 output.

2nd we needed a way to remove the extra CO2 from the atmosphere without overtaxing the environment, this should help us do that and get the planet back to a healthier position.

  • I'm not going to do anything, I'm just making a suggestion based on your overly aggressive and hostile comments.

I would say it's rather telling that you just assume someone is going to "do something to you" when they give you a suggestion though.

Might be worth taking a step back from the Internet and figuring out what's causing you to be such an angry person. Might even help lower your blood pressure.
