So basically, a good landlord doesn't make any actually passive income? That makes sense. I just see a lot of people on here saying things like "we should kill all landlords" and they just sound ridiculous to me.

I'm currently trying out openmediavault on an old laptop and if that's not markedly easier to use than Debian then I'll try Cockpit.

Minimum RAM for TrueNAS is 8gb. I really should get more RAM though.

I mean, you can just use some simple hard drives if you just want something that works. You can get a terabyte for like 40 bucks nowadays.
