Yea that part stuck out to me too. Even if he didn’t intend to kill anyone, people still died that day, and his actions severely contributed to those deaths.
People driving drunk don’t intend to kill anyone, but when they do they are tried for manslaughter at a minimum because their reckless actions caused a death.
I want to see him in trial as much as anyone, but no one is rushing into anything when the literal mountain of evidence against you is 12.8 million pages. Even the judge said the prosecutions date of January 2024 was too early.
That said, I’m very much looking forward to March 2024 😀
I know RSS has been around basically forever, but I’ve never bothered to learn how to use them.
What do I do with this rss link you provided? Is there n app or something to add this to that pushes alerts/notifications when there’s a new post or something?
Re: Bean - exactly my issue too. Well, I’d happily pay for lifetime but the price is way too high. Given the infancy of Lemmy as a whole and the app specifically, I think it should be more like $10. $30 (or $50 starting tomorrow or soonish) is just too much. I think at the $10 price point the dev could have gotten a lot of impulse buyers as well as FOMO buyers.
Have you tried Bean? It’s pretty great, especially the group communities feature!
But Bean is way too expensive. I wish the dev would lower the lifetime cost….lemmy is just too new to demand that kind of price, not to mention the app is a baby and spending that amount of money on an unproven app that could be abandoned tomorrow is a huge risk.
Tactical view on steam deck is just holding the camera stick up until it moves overhead (which is what pressing O on desktop does).
