I used to work in aerospace and we had a few government customers. Every single government part was sold to a contractor who then flipped it to the government for like 10x what they paid for it.

It was real annoying when they needed parts for old aircraft with deprecated specifications/components that were no longer available because the contractors had no engineering staff so we couldn't ask them for clarification on which parts/specs to use beyond standard military supercessions which sometimes had no suitable replacements.

I've found oat milk (specifically Oatly) to cook fairly well. I've made bechamel based sauces, puddings, custards, etc. with it plenty of times and always had good results.

Rental prices are sickeningly high right now it's insane. I was excited to see that lawsuit against that rental price fixing company RealPage but it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere, frustratingly. If all the rental agencies are using the same automated tool to set their rental prices obviously it's going to artifically inflate them all.

There's also the issue with mining and refining uranium that emit a huge amount of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.

That's one reason I've been toughing out my job situation, but it's driving me crazy so I've been working on my resume and looking for more fully remote options. It's getting harder to find interesting stuff without office commitments :(

I've got a Pihole set up running on my NAS but unfortunately it's really difficult to find ad tracking lists that both 1) block ads effectively and 2) don't break a large portion of webpages

I liked the free lootboxes with chances of getting cool stuff than the damn $20 every couple months battle passes where you actually cannot get anything interesting without paying for it.

We really need some sort of regulation to prevent AI from catastrophically fucking up everything lol

Yeah my 2011 BMW has Bluetooth for calls/music streaming, and a navigation system that I can split screen so I've got a mini map showing the names of upcoming cross streets next to my music info. It's pretty much all I need and works great.
