  • The part that gets me is "cratering bonuses". They canceled projects and ruined people's lives by firing them not because the company was hurting, or in heavy debt, or facing bankruptcy, but because their managers and C-level executives earned a bit less than usual due to poor planing and management.

Corporate America can go fuck themselves with sand.

  • Funny how it is, to me the window management of macOS is atrocious and constantly gets in the way — an issue I don't have with Windows 11. In a matter of fact, the window management in windows is awesome.

  • Remember kids, don't hesitate to use the "elitism" card when you're loosing an linux argument

I didn't realise it was a competition. BTW, how do someone loose an argument? By making generic points? By making it less specific?

  • I guess I'm having a little trouble about the "flagship" definition then. I always assumed that the S line was the best Samsung has to offer, the Pro line was the best from Apple, and so it goes. So the S24 and the 15 Pro are flagships, and those have the same size of the Zenfone 10.

But if "flagship" is only the most expensive phone from a company, I'd argue that the ROG phones are flagships from ASUS, not the Zenfone ones. IDK.

  • Religion is about shit that is not real

    "Year of Linux on Desktop"

    "Better than Windows"

    "Linux is easy"

"You never need to use the terminal"

"Everything you need runs on Linux"

"Android IS Linux, therefore is the most popular OS"

Yeah, sounds like religion to me.

  • Well, if your reason was "I use Apple because I don't like Google" then yes. Better work with the real deal than a limited piece of crap that won't allow you to install adblockers and adblocked apps.

If you like the Apple interface and ecosystem better then there's no hope for you.

  • Webrings were cool but flawed. I'd like something like tumblr, where you can comment and @ someone, but in a federated system where each would manage their own.

I thought about using Mastodon as a comment system for my blog but the tools to accomplish it are way over my head. I'm not a developer, just someone who happens to know how to install a CMS and to tweak some HTML and CSS.
