  • Maybe FIFA organization for their official FIFA game? I mean has "experience" with it.

  • He almost destroyed EA. Switched to Unity and almost destroyed Unity. Now what project does he join next?

  • While I understand this is humorous post, it's not crystal clear. That does not mean people lack humor, that only means we encounter a lot of trolls or idiots in the forums, that we no longer know if someone is joking or is being serious. So you should not call people being seriously wounded, if your joke didn't come as you wish it was.

In short, if it's not 100% clear (and it's not), then marking it as "sarcasm" is not a bad idea if you just making a joke without trolling or flamewar. That's just my thumb of rule. It helps you not get misunderstood.

  • It will get worse when Google replaces its old engine with an AI powered one. Because nobody knows what the AI does at that point, as it is not a simple search term search the web anymore, but explicitly opinionated results.

  • Yeah, the games itself weren't good. I wasn't a big fan of them back in the day. But I feel somewhat nostalgic about them nowadays when playing on an emulator.

  • I learn about most of Google projects, when they die.

  • Reminds me those Sega CD/Mega CD games with full motion videos, like Corpse Killer (rail shooter) or Road Avenger (quick time events). Now I kinda want to have this.

  • An individual review does not matter too much (unless it has good text), but an overall score can give a hint. In example if a game gets a lot of flag from the users of recent reviews, than something is going on. It's always good to have a way of user reviews alongside the media outlets. You can even see if the game got for free (on paid games) and how long the guy played it at the time of writing the review. And it should incentivize developers to work on the game. Better than having nothing, like on Epic Games. User/Player opinions are not welcome there at all.

  • Free games on Epic Games store. Meanwhile at Epic: laying off over 800 employees, because company spending more money than they earn.

  • Company was ‘spending way more than we earn,’ CEO said in memo

It needs a genius to see that. All those contracts for timed exclusivity, all those games given for free. Most people just play free to play games on the platform and get the games for free. I thought the idea was to eat the cost and spend more money than to earn, so they can build a loyal customer base. If that wasn't the entire goal, what was it then? Why punish the staff (holy cow its 870 employees!) by cutting them off the company now? The store and launcher of Epic games already struggle to get better.

Unfortunately I can't read the article on Bloomberg, as it requires an account.

  • To my surprise this was already in the official Arch repos. I used lsd in the past and wonder how it compares to eza .

  • I just tested it. The only missing feature to me is, auto translating for other pages on the same website.

  • It is. But the big plus is it's offline translation, without sending data through network (for privacy concerns and for quick operation). Edit: Oh, just got what you meant. The article title is not descriptive enough. I agree.

  • @Stillhart I was still waiting. One of the reasons is that I wanted to build a new computer (which happened last week) and waiting until the game got fixed a lot. Both happened. Now I am waiting for the launch of Phantom Liberty in a few days, as the base game will be dropped in price again. That's when I go into the game for the first time. And it will be the best version of the game so far.
