  • The generation that grows up with Ai won't know what real is. For them, the Ai look is the one they are comfortable with, and the real videos are the odd looking ones. Man I wanted to make a joke, but this is scary as hell. Hope I'm wrong with the future...

  • They do more than just autocomplete, even in autocomplete mode. These Ai tools suggest entire code blocks and logic and fill in multiple lines, compared to a standard autocomplete. And to use it as a standard autocomplete tool, no Ai is needed. Using it like that wouldn't be bad anyway, so I have nothing against it.

The problems arise when the Ai takes away the thinking and brain functionality of the actual programmer. Plus you as a user get used to it and basically "addicted". Independent thinking and programming without Ai will become harder and harder, if you use it for everything.

  • Mostly closed source, because open source rarely accepts them as they are often just slop. Just assuming stuff here, I have no data.

  • what’s up with ending FakeSpot? They just bought that.

Assuming the tool was not accepted and used well enough by the user base. Also Mozilla got all user data and the technology. Maybe they plan on a new project that implements part of it in the future? Mozilla is currently experimenting a lot. Shutting down lot of services should be expected.

  • Finally the bug which didn't allow to use the lower-than character < is fixed. Also a nice sideeffect is, the wrong unread-messages counter for my account is gone (2 was the new 0 for me). Both issues are gone. Thank you for the update.

  • Last night site was unreachable and today I had to login. And the 2 Unread Messages are now gone (yes, the whole time they were there). My assumption is, that some temporary files in the cache got deleted or they addressed this issue in the code.

Unrelated: As a side note, they also addressed the issue with not being able to post the < character < (or was it > character >). Previously anything that followed this character in the post was just deleted. I had to workaround with images! Now this works.

  • Its not that dumb as you think, its way dumber.

  • I think AMD more or less paused than abandoned the high end market.

  • Unless you actually interact with the developer. Such cases are in example when you do a bug report and discuss this. Or in social media. But its not only about the interaction, but the toxicity of the person towards other people and projects. Also if I am interested and using a tool, then I will probably read blog posts, update notes and so on too.

Even if I don't interact with someone, I don't have to support bad behavior. I also don't have much faith into the project with a human I dislike how the person treats others. If you don't care and are unaffected by it, its your decision to do what you want and accept.

  • If you like programming Python, then Qtile is a good option. Qtile is written itself in Python, but more importantly, the configuration file of it is a Qtile Python program. Meaning you can use all programming skills like functions and loops and other stuff in your configuration file directly. It works in Wayland and in X11.

  • I would have use it, if the Hyprland developer wasn't toxic.

  • For me game is running. I have the newest update of Marvel Rivals Version 20250515. In the past it would not run with Proton Experimental and had to switch to Proton 10.0-1 (beta) (still do). Also had to add SteamDeck=1 %command%, to make it run again. It runs right now as I write.

Sometimes after a system update I need to restart, otherwise games don't launch. So maybe do system update now and restart entire PC and operating system, if you didn't already.
