  • Wish I could play games on Linux, but for some fucking reason I can't figure out my gaming laptop with Nvidia 1660ti will not work properly with most games. If I ever can afford a new computer I'm probably going with AMD instead tbh.

  • Lots of people can't just straight up ditch it. I have had multiple websites just don't work with Firefox regardless of whatever add-ons I put. For me I just go into a Windows sandbox, but there's people who are not that tech savvy and it's often forced on them. Also iirc most schools have chrome books they let students use. So it's basically forced onto people.

  • Before I even read it I knew it was more ads or AI of some sort and yep it's both. Sure yeah we need more ads. Can I get a Microsoft store button on mouses now? Ohoh a dedicated 2nd screen for ads on every monitor. We must please the share holders and the rich!

  • Not a "new" game, but a new modpack (for Minecraft Java) update for all the mods 9 where they added gregtech into it and lots of good others, and just enjoying the variety and complexity of the mods added, some like create mod and the ones that add on to create are getting fucking wild and awesome too. Love building weird ass contraptions because I can.

  • When I Text people I don't know well I use goblin tools that uses chat gpt to "translate" how I speak to neurotypical speak, which generally makes them not hate me for being without all the added fillers. Also great for professional emails and text because it makes me look a lot "smarter" because of all the buzz words and phrases it adds for me.

  • Wish it was like that for me. I duel boot Linux and I often times get to frustrated at basic things with gaming in Linux, like installing mods through vortex and Windows only mod managers in Linux I just switch to Linux and not much trouble.

Note I'm not a seasoned Linux user I know the basics but when I have to go through multiple configs and websites just to have one program work properly, it kinda just ruins it

  • Inconsistency of things, can't change things easily, random outdated stuff that would help if it wasn't abandoned several years ago and patched together to barely work. Gaming on Linux isn't good, so so much distros and not a lot of information besides "whatever you like". Hard to find things online because of outdated posts or just "top 10" type sites.

Windows is just plug and play, with a few apps that remove most annoyances. Nearly all games and modding of games are mostly just works.

  • Why I don't switch to Linux as my main. The video games and mod managers don't work well on it.

If given the ability and choice too I would use Linux 10000% but not even proton can work on everything that is only for Windows.

I literally have no choice tbh as I "acquire" games I can't afford and it's often to hard to figure out how to install them on Linux.

I hate windows with a passion but capatilism and monopolies force me to use it.
