I remember there being something like this already. The final mission happens as they say "this is the final training for you". The enemy (aliens) behave differently than expected in this final simulation because they are not immediately aggressive and are waiting while defending their location, but the child successfully eliminates them. And later learns that was the actual aliens and not the simulation. And the aliens were just trying to find a place and protect their new generation, or sth.

Yeah it is sad that we don't have flash. But today I saw there's a program Ruffle (written in Rust) that can run flash, and add support to browser through extensions or something.

Considering they made it so that you need apple issued usb-c, and have problems with normal one (probably fixed now because people obviously complained). I'd say avoiding it is a good choice.

Losing access to a work I put hours and days, sometimes months of my life was the main reason I now absolutely refuse any non-open source products. My advisor/colleagues sometimes say "university gives it for free", or "we pay all that money for this softwares", but I am not going to use them even if they are slightly better than open source.

Can you customize the buttons directly? I have xp-pen, it works by default but the buttons are not what I want, I have been using xp-pen provided driver-app for customizing buttons and screen and such. One time it had a bug that was pretty bad. I'd prefer to not use it if I can customize without it.

This. Think of Bill gates, and think of Linus Torvalds. Inspiration to make money can only do so much. There'd be a lot more people making awesome stuffs today if large corps didn't just buy any small tech company making anything that could be used. Sometimes they buy them and use it, sometimes they buy is and then ensittify it so people will have no choice but to use things they want.

Do I know something to play it. When I tried, it was way complex or something. Couldn't understand what's going on or what I'm supposed to do.

It's hard to screenshot dreams because you are in your dreams and have very low conscious control over your real body.

But you can start the screen recording before you goto sleep so that it'll be recorded automatically. You can extract frames. Good luck.

Excel is that Devil people know. It's not the best tool for a lot of stuffs but it let's people do things.

I saw a co-worker generate sequence for formula in excel for another cell in excel. They wanted to do average of all January data, instead of averageif/sumif/countif etc, they generated a sequence a1+a13+a25...... And used excels' drag down thing to make the formula. I'm like who could even verify it.

That's how you're supposed to use AUR, I think. All yay, paru, etc do is make it convenient to do that while also helping with searching and upgrading them.

Can you do makepkg in the clone of yay PKGBUILD from aur? That seems like a better solution than symlinking...

Of course. How else do you keep poor people poor and rich richer.

Poor people: charge them extra for not affording things.

Rich people: let them buy things they don't need but can afford and then charge poor people to rent those things.

The reality where people cannot afford $10-20 things. And the corporations just start charging those poor people interest.

Some software is always going to have problems. Specially if the developer never had to work with linux.

In my case I think of it like my choice of Linux like how people may choose other lifestyle. It's not about having superior experience in everything, but about general good experience and self satisfaction.

Just think of it this way, people in the 90s were happy with the softwares they had, so if some subset of software is not available to me it's not end of the world. On the flip side many softwares are only available to me because of linux, my favorite is poppler-tools that allow me to merge PDFs and other pdf related tasks that in windows you'd need to pay Adobe for. If you compare and want things that you can't have it'll always make you unhappy. Everytime you search for a tool, search in linux websites or search source codes and you'll be happy to ignore any tools that have a lot of licensing complications and windows only support. Not saying that's the way to do it, but that's how I do it.

And the reason those few programs don't support Linux is because they don't think we have enough users. So don't hold up on using linux for that reason, it's just a circle.

Not much documentation. I tried to use it, but it was really hard to figure out anything.

If there was an easy way to use rust or something on webassemly and use that instead of JS. I'd be so happy, but I can't find how to do it without npm.

I think that's why Github suggests MIT as default. Unaware people will just put that. Most open source people just code things they want without thinking much on other aspects. We really need some sort of enforcement to stop companies banking on voluntary work done for the community.
