Your choice example of technology to support IP laws is.... something that was created publically and is a collection of open, public standards 🤦🤦🤦 do you think the internet is patented...? By who??? Lmao

The internet is literally the peak example that proves IP laws are unnecessary for innovation and actually inhibits it. And yes, good observation that IP laws predate the internet. They are antiquated by it and no longer relevant in a post-internet world.

  • giant paragraphs detailing what a broom looked like or how a piece of ham glistened or whatever

I genuinely don't even know where that is coming from. He is known for lengthy description of landscape and geographical features, and that critique would be valid, but... not about trivial details about random objects like this? Huh??

  • Even if tariffs worked the way Trump wanted and it magically brings all this manufacturing back to the USA, it will still cause extreme inflation in the USA. The reason foreign goods are so cheap? Dirt cheap labor. To manufacture these goods in the USA would mean orders of magnitude higher labor costs and ultimately orders of magnitude higher price of goods to the consumer. Inflation.

    Do they even accomplish this?

"Chinese exports have a large impact on our economy, therefore you have to either support tariffs or let them do anything they want" 🤡 take

How was China's economy doing during global shipping interruptions, btw? 🙃
