So at that exact time big servers get a few hundred requests? I hope it's a very light weight check and doesn't trigger any flood or spam protection.. otherwise https://i.imgflip.com/xhss9.jpg
That's only their servers, not the client. I can't install, uninstall, list installed games, add to collections, launch games and so on from that AFAIK
I’m just pretty staunch about not paying for a domain name, they add no value whatsoever
Heh, what a tool. Nothing's stopping him from just using ip addresses, or the reverse that whoever provides the server ip almost guaranteed have set up. But no, he wants a fancy looking one, so it HAS some value or he wouldn't need one, and a domain require name servers, and people administrating and maintaining it. He just don't want to pay for that part. And come on, a domain is like 15 dollars a year?
Why not? Over the years I've had several open source projects. I've had many suggestions and complaints. If someone wanted to help and contribute I'd be happy, and help them if I could, but never have I expected anything. On the contrary I've been happy for complaints that made sense, because it gave me pointers and places to improve my software. So why do you think it doesn't look good?
So..... Someone deluded says it's super easy to sign up.
Someone points out that it's really not for a non technical person. Let's say that someone is me, and let's say I'm a developer.
Is it suddenly my problem? Is it now my responsibility to fix it? I already have enough problems and responsibilities, thank you. I'm already busy with work and life. I got my own things I'm working on.
Reminds me of Shrek 2. Which premiered 6 months after the US in my country.
I wanted so badly to watch it in cinema, but internet talked about it, friends talked about it, and I had people coming over with burned copies wanting to share it with me..
Yeah, I did not see it in cinema. For some reason it didn't do well here.
You forgot browsing Steam for interesting looking games to buy and then never touch again
