  • I had been doing that since 2018 and this year I realized I hadn't booted to Windows for years and uninstalled it.
I'm not a Linux expert at all, I use the GUI for 99% of tasks and I'm having a great time.

  • I love that feature so much. I have played through at least 20 backlog single player games with my deck. Amazing games that I could never finish before because it's apparently too much to ask for my brain.

  • It's so much more convenient to play locally though. Just press the button and you're back where you left. No need to boot up the PC, start the game, establish the connection.

  • For the average person, that is impossible. Also, you lose a lot of features compared to SteamOS. Also, the controls are (at least to me) a main selling point and there is no controller on the market that comes close to the capabilities of the Deck.

  • France is a good example. They invest billions in their nuclear power. Still, their infrastructure is old and they can't seem to build new reactors. It's a money sink while "dumb renewables" are the cheapest most spammable energy source we ever had.

  • I answered a very similar comment a little further down:

I'm not claiming it was smart to leave nuclear before coal. It wasn't. But it is what happened and it was decided two decades ago. Nuclear is done in Germany and there is no point discussing it further. New reactors were not going to happen either way.

  • It won't have been long for a long time now. It's not a feasible concept to rely on a maybe. We need massive amounts of clean energy now and the way to do that now is water, wind and solar. If these wonder reactors are one day reality that's great.

  • Look, the humanitarian situation in Gaza is indisputably horrible and it's absolutely the fault of Israel's government. It may very well be genocide. International investigations will show.
Right now, it's a war zone and it's very hard to gather reliable evidence. That's why I put it in quotes.

Not voting for Biden on this single issue is insane. It directly benefits Trump who, other than Biden, won't try to ease the situation. He will actively make the conflict worse. He'll also do his best to dismantle what is left of US democracy and worsen the lives of millions of people.

Fight for a better voting system. Protest against Biden's foreign policy. But please don't throw away your vote and give the world another term of Trump.
