  • If that was true, why is there constant news about him getting butthurt from critical tweets and using his authority to suppress them?

There's a lot of people still on Twitter for a simple reason that has nothing to do with Musk... Getting a population to relocate is hard. That's where they were before the takeover, that's where all types of public figures have to be to reach followers, and so that's where people go to interact with them

It's going to be a slow decline as alternatives slowly grow to critical mass, and eventually the dead platform will no longer be the place with the biggest reach to most intended audiences

  • I used Twitter for all of a day, but you have to be real with it

It's an ocean with a whole lot of toxic spills. The whole thing is polluted, but some of it is nearly clean while others are basically tar.

There's too many people doing too many things on that platform to condemn them all... We need to get most of them somewhere safer, but that's where they are right now

  • Permanently Deleted

    Jump
  • Quickly? Not from my perspective.

It's just that suddenly the curtain was ripped away. We all knew this was the trend, it was just never so direct or blatant

  • It absolutely is... Basically anything spread to advance a cause or change behavior is technically propaganda. Generally, we use the term just when it's done by or on behalf of a government, and especially when it's pushing disinformation, but it's all propoganda

The purpose of this is to push support, or at least normalization of, harsh treatment of Mexicans in the US or on the border. It's also an intimidation and humiliation tactic

No matter how you slice it, this is blatant propaganda

  • You could just download it, no need to actually print the thing for no reason

I would buy a larger drive to do that though, just to say I did

  • I have no idea what a brain rot animal is, but somehow I agree

  • Pierbattista Pizzaballa, I hope.

And that is not a joke, that is the legal name of the best cardinal for the job

  • Pierbattista Pizzaballa (born 21 April 1965). Yes that is a real cardinal, and that is his name

Dude is meant for the job. Based as hell, needs a name change, his birthday is the day the last pope died

  • These college-aged kids are both privileged AND victims somehow? Cool

This is the heart of it. I don't know what else you're going on about, but but yes - this is the problem

You can be both. You can go through abusive experiences and decide they're normal - and vice versa. You can be both a victim and a predator... To insist otherwise is fucking brain dead

  • I follow laws mainly because of my own sense of morality - I don't kill, I steal only when I feel I need to, and I don't commit fraud because these things are obviously generally wrong.

I follow stupid laws (such as needing insurance, paying income taxes, or not speeding) out of fear of punishment. These are issues I'll basically never have, because I'm good at driving and don't make enough to affect state level operations

  • I mean, it is a problem... It's literally filtering higher education by main character syndrome.

If you force someone to victimize their self history, that doesn't just go away - it's recontextualizing your life. That's not something people generally do outside therapy or psychedelic trips. It's deep introspection, it's something the average person only does a few times in their life

If privileged people think of themselves as victims, that instills a lack of empathy. They look at those less fortunate, and think they had it harder, because they don't know the details of their lives but their narrative is as a victim

They're fucking disappearing people in my county, and there's no problem that measures up to that... But it is a real problem

  • I think you replied to the wrong comment, but I agree

Granted, if they could actually make this work, they could probably do the robotaxi thing or even get into logistics. That would make it easily worth it to build dispatch centers basically everywhere

That is, if they could make it work

  • What do you mean? Trump's cabinet had insane turnover last time, he loves using people then throwing them away

  • Nah, there's not that many. There's large swaths of the US where you have to drive across multiple states to get to one, in part for legal restrictions on dealerships

  • That's really easy. Never let go of the joy of learning, and take pride in admitting your mistakes.

It's that simple. When you're told there's another way, your first reaction should be curiosity

  • What's going on with his leg? They look like they're digigrade

  • Yep, she and Biden just disappeared after conceding. They bowed out so hard they ended up in hiding

I don't know why they're surfacing this week, but they can fuck back to the rock they crawled out from under

  • Because they still believe "put in your time and wait your turn" is how the world works

They're never going to learn. It's time to tea party them, by 2028 we need a strong enough progressive faction to force them to cooperate or be replaced

  • No, we need the Democratic party... Or their corpse at least

We don't have time to build the infrastructure and entrench a third party. That shit is extremely complicated and takes a lot of time and money.

There's a perfectly good one already, with name recognition and the right branding. It's just dickless and full of shit

So let's tea party it and take it over for the left. We just need a large enough progressive faction to force them to cooperate and actually do what the people have been screaming for

Hang up a big "under new management" sign and actually do things, and there you go... We get a party on the left again. It can be done next election
