From 1 February, it became a criminal offence to own the XL bully breed in England and Wales without an exemption certificate. Anyone who owns one of the dogs must have had the animal neutered, have it microchipped and keep it muzzled and on a lead in public, among other restrictions.
So I'm guessing she got them before they were banned and had an exception so she didn't have to have them destroyed.
With the police effectively decimalising shop lifting I don't find it surprising that this kind of thing will start to happen.
Edit - to be clear I'm not saying they were right in what they did, just that with the police seeming to not care about/have the resources to deal with less and less things it's not surprising to me that people would take things into their own hands (especially somewhere like tower hamlets)
Is that the response where the took a wall of text to say "yeah it's probably already illegal but we're going to do nothing to hold companies to the law"?
Yep, I'm about 13 stone 1. Which I know is about 83kg. But I have no idea how many pounds in a stone. I do know that there's about 2 and a quarter lb to a kg. Therefore I must be about 186lb.
I entered into an agreement with a car manufacturer to be able to sell their cars in the UK. After I had people place orders (and pay) for a bunch of them the manufacturer decided that they were no longer supplying cars to the UK. Forcing me to issue my customers with refunds.
