First you should stop and think: What is a customer?

A customer is someone that a company makes money from.

Then you think: What money have I given Facebook?

None (or extremely little)

Then you think: But Facebook makes billions. How do they do this?

They have loads of very targeted adverts.

So we who are Facebook's customers?

Advertising companies.

What makes ad space on Facebook valuable?

Their ability to target those ads to the right people based off of the data they have about them and to get you (the product) to see those ads.

If it's someone doing it a lot I can see getting pissed off, especially if there happens to be other history with the person.

With the police effectively decimalising shop lifting I don't find it surprising that this kind of thing will start to happen.

Edit - to be clear I'm not saying they were right in what they did, just that with the police seeming to not care about/have the resources to deal with less and less things it's not surprising to me that people would take things into their own hands (especially somewhere like tower hamlets)

Yep, I'm about 13 stone 1. Which I know is about 83kg. But I have no idea how many pounds in a stone. I do know that there's about 2 and a quarter lb to a kg. Therefore I must be about 186lb.
