Amazing and terrifying that EU seems to be the only world government to actually stand up against this late stage capitalism dystopia.
These rules actually makes sense. They actually protect both consumers and other companies around the whole world. And most importantly; they tackle a real world problem head on.
Yeah, if you side with the oppressor. You know that Israel starved Gaza for 3 weeks before Hamas even responded?
They literally cut off food, clean water, medical supplies for 3 fucking weeks before the first attack. People's family were dying in the hospitals completely unnecessarily.
Ask yourself if you honestly think that anyone else would act differently. Do you honestly think that you would act different when you see your father/mother/brother/sister die because Israel blocked off all your help because of "politics"?
That's the story that doesn't reach the US and many places in the western world. How it all began.
And if you really want to know how Palestine has been fucked over, you'd have to go back to 1945. When you know the history, there's no fucking way you would side with Israel.
They always have a choice. One solution is just more profitable than the other.
If Israel would fall or weaken, that would also mean that the only country in the whole middle east, that doesn't hate the US with all their guts, would be a weaker ally.
With this digital euro, all fees are paid by the EU. Which is the right way to do it. It shouldn't cost anything to spend and transfer money - just as it doesn't with cash.
I can't get my head around how much money VISA and MasterCard is pulling out of society today.
How banks take fees for you to do a simple money transfer.
Whoever wrote this blog post missed the point in the way the fediverse is decentralised.
It's not about hosting. It's about ownership. And that means hosting can change at any moment. Because no one company decides anything.
That's why we really want the fediverse. Because it's not build for late stage capitalism and monopolies.
