What the fuck are you talking about? That is precisely what happened here. Most of these republican goons got their base frothing at the mouths over these documents, holding up binders, going on talk shows and news shows, literally claiming they’d release these documents. And now they aren’t.

Yes, the ones that didn’t campaign on exactly this topic, releasing the files. I believe they should be released but this whataboutism is just silly.

Generally neither am I. But I also feel no laws should protect the ultra wealthy, especially when the crimes are global. Somebody must take the powerful down and it isn’t going to be the powerful.

I actually think it should be released publicly. There will be no justice without transparency. The people involved are to powerful to expect it to be handled justly.

Nix and Docker / container runtimes are completely different animals. Each is good at what they do, but those are vastly different things, with some overlap. If you want to share a kernel but use fewer resources than a VM, containers can do that. If you want to go further and completely isolate, you can use microvm’s like firecracker.

I don’t follow what is wrong with that. Maybe you mean it’s use where people use it specifically as a package manager. I agree with that, but even then it has its handy place.

I live in a city center in Norway. Grocery stores surround me. Several within a few blocks. Maybe moving soon to a rural area where the closest will probably be 10 minutes via bus. But still not too shabby.

True, we stack old technologies on top of older technologies, and somewhere at the bottom, there is z/OS with COBOL running. A young person right now learning COBOL has a secure future with big paychecks.
