Does Multi Hop VPN add any extra privacy that is worse the loss of speed for average use?

  • I always recommend multi-hop as it increases your privacy. And as long you choose the two servers to be nearby each other and not halfway across the world, you will not notice any difference in your connection.

    You can have a few email addresses (1 protonmail for personal stuff, 1 protonmail for anonymous/private accounts, etc) and then have a alias account for your personal email and an alias account for your anonymous/private email, etc. This way if the alias service you use gets comprimised, it will not link your personal accounts to your private/anonymous accounts.

Umbrella term for individuals who are engrossed by social justice and thinks of themselves as saviors with a moral high ground, but remain willfully ignorant to the irrationality of their claims and the problems they create. These individuals give special treatment to certain minorities in hopes of ending racism and perpetuate mental illnesses as the norm.

  • For calendar and contacts I use EteSync since it uses E2EE just like Filen. Nextcloud is good but it does not have E2EE as a supported feature. There is a broken E2EE plugin for Nextcloud but only for files.

    The Filen client works fine for me on Linux. It runs in the background and does not pop up after boot.
