  • I wish more VPN apps had firewall settings built into it.

  • Graphene is the best option but lineageos is also good and covers many devices. The con of lineageos is the lack of hardened security which graphene provides.

  • It does. I will never use an instance without downvotes. Nobody liked it when youtube downvotes were hidden.

  • Never setup a nas but if I was to get one, I would use truenas since it is foss.

    For fireproof and waterproof nas systems, check out iosafe. Not sure if truenas will work on them however.

  • SSDs are quite reliable and way faster than HDD over time. Only use HDD if your backing up data and even yet, there are mdiscs for data archiving.

  • Didnt google preach at their yearly summit about making RCS a global standard? Google should be releasing fully open source APIs for Kotlin, Swift and Dart.

    Nevertheless, I am skeptical on how the encryption works especially if your buddy is using Google messanger and if you were using a 3rd party RCS app.

  • I find the image search accuray not that good but in time I know it will beat DDG and Startpage/Google
