You would think, though, that it would be a "get some guys with guns onto that roof before he comes back" sign. 20 minutes is plenty of time to get at least some guys with pistols/their own AR-15s over there to secure the area. Also, simply having the right to own and carry weapons doesn't give you the right to point them at people intentionally, much less set up a sniper's nest on a divisive public figure. If a random guy in the crowd started pointing his pistol at Trump, then I'm fairly certain that would give Secret Service the right to at least tackle the guy or tase him, not to mention all the other people who would rush to control him.

I would think that if Trump was going to remove his own term limits so he could be President for Life and then start murdering his political rivals, it would have been in his first term when he had the House, Senate, and Supreme Court locked down. As it stands, he's only going to be in power for another four years, worst-case scenario. It would take a constitutional amendment to change that (which is a big part of why he isn't President for Life). I'm not going to sit here and say when it's okay to start killing politicians, other than that we aren't there yet.

I'd like to ask you a question as well: if Trump died, what do you think would have happened? Do you think that 100% of the gun-toting pro-Trump militias throughout the country would have laid down their arms and admitted defeat? Do you think that the political faction that is, on average, more likely to own and use guns than the left, would have said "well that sucks I guess"? Do you think that Democrats across the country would be safe? Or do you think it would be a Shot Heard Cross the Coasts that would have started a free-for-all of political violence that the country hasn't seen in decades - perhaps centuries?

While I do think that the right of the people to govern themselves has certain implications I won't get into here, it also means we have legislative options on the table. You have freedom of speech, which is why we can ask questions like yours and mine. We have the right to assemble, form parties, and elect officials. Let's use those rights while the government hasn't decided to destroy them yet; and if they ever do, let's take the discussion to a more anonymous forum like on Tor or I2P.

PTSD. I suffer from psychosis related to a "relationship" I used to have with an anime girl. Every time I see another anime girl, I have to fight against the feeling of being mesmerized. It's like I'm falling in love with her all over again. Heck, even certain songs I've historically associated with her cause the same response. It's so frustrating and shameful. It makes me hate myself.

I have an idea for a debate. These two go to a golf course determined by a neutral third party (like, I dunno, make the Libertarian party agree on something for once in their lives) for a 9 hole game (18 holes probably wouldn't work in the TikTok world). Eight topics, and then a concluding statement. On the first hole, they make their introductory statements between shots. They start with the same amount of time, but after that, they get more time to articulate their points based on how well they did on the last hole. After all the golfing is done, that's when they deliver their concluding statements, again getting time based on how well they did.

Let's settle the question of who the better golfer is once and for all.

Ask an average amateur radio group/forum what the best radio under $50 is. In equal numbers, you will be flooded with suggestions by people who believe their own handheld within (or slightly above) that price point beats every other option, and other people who insist that any radio that inexpensive is "cheap Chinese garbage" and you have to spend upwards of $200 to get a decent starter radio.

They're not immaculate. They used to outright deny people the right to refund their games, but they turned that around after a massive lawsuit from a government agency. Good change! I support that. But they're not behaving in an anti-competitive manner. What, are they supposed to intentionally make themselves worse in the hopes that other stores pop up? That's not how any of this works.

Telehealth pill mills like this are the reason we have an ADHD medication shortage. We had a TON of people prescribed Adderall over the pandemic and now they're hooked. This company's entire business model was about establishing a nationwide customer base of amphetamine addicts to maximize their profits.

Among a few other things, it makes leveling up twice as fast as normal UP (apparently UL doubled the XP needed to level up), you gain two perk points per level, the amount of research data you get from schematics (which you need to craft others and upgrade workstations) is doubled, and the chance to upgrade items is changed to always 100%.

My favorite mod is Undead Legacy. It lets you craft schematics for the items you need by scrapping the ones you don't need. You can find cars in the world and repair them to full working order, including lights and sirens on police cars. The progression is much more granular with item tiers doing from H all the way up to S three stars, and that includes the item mods now. Your inventory is weight-based instead of slot-based (except for containers) and you can carry a much wider variety of gear.

If this mod sounds fun, I strongly recommend also adding the anti-bullshit sub-mod that someone made for UL.

I'm playing a Star Wars Saga Edition game right now where my character is a former privateer fighting in the Jedi Civil War for the Sith. He was fairly honest with his party members about his former criminal affiliations, that's how he met them in the first place. The fact he was on the wrong side of the war only came out when a conversation about the war came up and he was directly asked about it. The Jedi in the party took it surprisingly well, but that's probably more due to the conversation being completely unserious other than his admission.

Lesson learned: you can probably trust your party with your dark past.

I am absolutely certain that people stacking themselves with debt won't have any long-lasting consequences. Not even if they reach the point that they can't pay for anything other than their debts any longer. Like, honestly, paying for your pizza and your hoodie all at once is so outdated, right?

I'm having a good day. Although my Thanksgiving trip was canceled a few days ago (hours before I left for it), it means I get more time to relax at home and recover from my pinched nerve. So I'm chilling after Mass and having a couple of beers.

I only really need something to keep track of my notifications, and maybe as a flashlight occasionally. So I just wear a PineTime, and it links up with my phone with Gadget Bridge. It's really nice, completely free and open source, and it's pretty cheap too. Week long battery life is nice, but I don't know what it's like with other smartwatches.

Right now it's a little vague. I'm picking up bits and pieces of Python to automate stuff at my job.

I like having goals that I can achieve, whether that's something at work I can knock out or a project I can work on at home.

Does a few weeks count? My first job was at a data entry place, and I quit within two weeks because the place gave me carpal tunnel. It went away soon after I left, even though I got a different office job shortly after.

Sure, they can do whatever they want, but everyone else is free to criticize them for doing so and go somewhere else with their time. Limiting the amount of time people can spend on your social media site, when you want as many people as possible looking at ads, is a bad idea.
